Pascoe Vale will have three from three on its agenda when it locks horns with Port Melbourne at CB Smith Reserve on Friday night.
A 3-1 win over Northcote has rejuvenated Paco’s campaign, which until a fortnight ago had seen it floundering the near lower eschelons of the standings.
New acquisitions Gonzalo Abascal and Mustapha Quaynor each featured for the first time alongside Marino Gasparis who continues to impress in a Paco shirt.
Davey van’t Schip returned to the scoresheet, bagging two goals in what will fill Vitale Ferrante with plenty of encouragement ahead of its challenge against Port Melbourne.
Recent hit outs between the two sides have been cagey affairs, with little dividing the two.
Port come to Fawkner after an indifferent period, suffering four defeats in its previous five matches.
Only three points separate the two teams before the fixture, adding extra spice to a contest, which traditionally sees sparks fly.
Recent signing Luke Galavas has replaced Stjepan Gal in between the sticks since the two last played in Round 5, while Port will always look dangerous with Jamie De Abreu, Adrian Zahra and David Stirton in its ranks.
Port triumped when the two sides last met, giving Paco extra enthusiasm to square the ledger.
Victory could see Paco overtake Port Melbourne and consolidate eigth spot in the NPL standings.
Kick off at CB Smith Reserve is at 20:15 on Friday night
